Sizes: This pattern is available in sizes 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 designed to fit the following body measurements: Bust: 80-84 (85-89) 90-94 (95-99) 100-104 cm. Underbust: 70-74 (75-79) 80-84 (85-89) 90-94 cm. The pattern includes instructions on how to take your body measurements correctly, as well as detailed finished garment measurements to help you choose the right size. My measurements are: bust: 89 cm, undersbust: 78 cm. The sample was knitted in size 2.
Circular needles: 3 mm and 2.5 mm
Gauge: 25 stitches × 36 rounds = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette using 3 mm needles after blocking.
Yarn: 2 (2) 2 (3) 3 balls of Cashmere by Sandnes Garn (110 m / 25 g). The sample was knitted in color 3012 Beige Melange.
Other materials: 1 m of 10 mm elastic band for sizes 1, 2 and 3; 1 m of 15 mm elastic band for sizes 4 and 5; matching sewing thread and a sewing needle.
Construction: The Velvet Bralette is worked seamlessly from the bottom up in stockinette stitch. The underbust band is worked first, then folded over an elastic band. The body is worked in the round before the stitches are divided to work the cups individually, with decreases shaping each cup. The straps are worked in double knitting and sewn to the back.
