Sizes: This pattern is available in sizes 1 (2) 3 designed to fit the following measurements: Bust: 75-84 (85-94) 95-104 cm. Waist: 55-64 (65-74) 75-84 cm. Hip: 85-94 (95-104) 105-115 cm. The dress is designed to have negative ease around the bust and little to no ease around the waist and hips. For reference, my measurements are: bust 91, waist 72, hip 102 and the navy sample was knitted in size 2.
Finished garment measurements after blocking: Bust and waist circumference: 61 (72) 83 cm. Armhole depth: 14 (16) 18 cm. Hip circumference: 94 (104) 115 cm. Body length: 75 (79) 83 cm.
Circular needles: 3 mm
Gauge: 29 stitches × 39 rows = 10 × 10 cm in 4 × 4 ribbing using 3 mm needles after blocking.
Yarn: 4 (5) 5 balls of Merino by Knitting for Olive (250 m / 50 g). The navy sample was knitted in color Navy Blue.
Construction: The Farewell Dress is worked from the top down in 4 × 4 ribbing. The front and back are worked flat separately, then joined to work the body in the round. Increases are worked on both sides of the body to shape the hips. Body length can be adjusted as needed.
